Me So Fleek (Patrick Starrr x MAC Cosmetics) Review

Sharing is caring!

I have been drooling over this MAC x Patrick Starrr collaboration ever since I saw the release in the US. Ordered the Me So Fleek kit on the day it was available in Europe (or at least in Belgium, as far as I know).

Have to command MAC Cosmetics Belgium for being so quick. Ordered on Wednesday and the package was here on Tuesday morning. Yes, by Belgian standards, that is quick.

This set retails for 49,50 EUR and contains an eyeshadow quad, a lipstick, a gloss and a duo blush. Why did I pick Me So Fleek? Because I have a blue eyeshadow OCD. I’m one of those people who will buy a palette because it has the most amazing blue eyeshadow, but will only wear warm neutrals, just so you know.

Me so drool.

Hey, Boy, Hey! Lipstick:  The colour of the bullet can take you aback, as it looks darker than on most pictures online. However, you’ll realise when applying it that it’s not all that dark and the flowery vibe is for real. It’s matte, by the way.

Queen P Lipgloss: Really gives dimension to the lipstick (I guess that’s why they come together huh, Captain Obvious), but it’s great all by itself and it has glitters *squeal*

Take me Home blush duo: looks absolutely gorgeous. I’m not a big fan of blushes in general (my rosacea will do most of the blushing on its own), but I like the fact that I can apply the lighter one subtly without looking like a drunken psychopathic clown.

Play with Me eyeshadow quad: this is a great quad if you’d like to play with colours a little bit without having to invest in an eyeshadow palette full of bold shades you wouldn’t know what to do with. These shadows will allow you to create in-your-face looks, especially with the two bottom pans: hot pink Hickie and deep blue In the Shadow.

The two top shadows will be more for everyday, softer looks.

Or, really, you could just use all of them in one look (I love with Anissa did there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3V8brouFr3E&t=545s).

As I was saying earlier, I bought this entire collection because I was obsessed with In the Shadow, but now that I’ve played with them a little bit, I have to admit I have a soft spot for In Living Pink (top left pan). It’s a super creamy, easy-to-use kind of rose gold shadow that has such an amazing payoff. All you have to do is use All’s Rosy (top right pan) as a transition colour, apply In Living Pink on the lid and you’re out the door (looking fab).

All in all, all the Me So Fleek kit is MAC quality with Patrick Starrr creativity. I think the price (49,50 EUR) is hard to resist. As a matter of fact, I’m already toying with the idea of buy the other set Me So Chic.
