Random facts about me

Sharing is caring!

I was tagged by the beautiful Carly for this post. I loved reading her answers and finding out more about her. I don’t think mine will be nearly as interesting, but here goes.

When was the last time you cried?
Not sure because I cry a lot over a great range of things. The last time I can remember was at a funeral home a week ago.

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
Probably not. Apparently, I have a resting bitch face and I’m a *bit* sarcastic, so I guess it intimidates people. Also, I don’t smile much because I’m always busy thinking about my impending death (anxiety). So no, I wouldn’t want to be friends with me.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I don’t know what sarcasm is.

Whatโ€™s the first thing you notice about people?
In women, I usually notice their hair. I’m sure Freud would have something to say about that. In men, maybe their eyes. Generally speaking, I’m also very sensitive to how people smell.

Scary movies or happy endings?
I don’t like movies all that much. They’re too long and I have the attention span of a hamster on LSD.

Favourite smells?
Sweet smells. I’m like a big baby.

Whatโ€™s the furthest youโ€™ve ever been away from home?
I went to Miami and Orlando.

Do you have any special talents?
Don’t think so. My memory isn’t too bad. I can remember tons of useless data.

Where were you born?
Belgium, 5km from where I live now.

What are your hobbies?
Blogging, watching YouTube, imagining I’m dying of a heart attack, telling my Border Collie my arm hurts and I don’t want to throw the ball anymore.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always say I wanted to go to university. And I did just that! Of course that doesn’t pay the bills, so now I’m a teacher, which happens to be the last thing I thought I would become ๐Ÿ™‚

How many countries have you been to?
9: France, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, the USA.

What is your favourite drink?
Chocolate milk.

What would you, or have you, named your kids?
I’ve always thought that if I ever had a daughter, I’d name her Luna (because of a Smashing Pumpkins song that I like), but since I’m not interested in having kids I guess we’ll just name our third dog Luna ๐Ÿ™‚

Who are your favourite YouTubers?
Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, RawBeautyKristi, MakeupStruggles, MakeupbyJaack, JaackMaate, Peter Monn, and a bunch of French youtubers.

How many boyfriends/girlfirends have you had?
Enough to know I’m not interested in meeting new people.

Favourite memory from childhood?
Family gatherings and seeing my cousins. I loved them to bits.

How would you describe your fashion sense?

Tell us one of your bad habits?
I bite my nails until they hurt.

Thanks for reading!

Luna is such a beautiful name. ๐Ÿ”†

With you on films being too long, if I catch myself drifting I save the film for another day but I rarely watch films in the cinema because itโ€™ll be a waste of money. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

And a little awestruck at the 9 countries. Youโ€™re igniting the travel bug in me at a time when I canโ€™t afford to. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I’m such a homebody, though. Me visiting nine countries is another way of saying someone forced my off my sofa nine times.

Loved to read this haha was funny ๐Ÿ˜‚ I als would love to call my daughter Luna. If I get a daughter of course lol. I also think about death a lot haha maybe it’s strange but is also caused because of anxiety

    • Kate
      August 4, 2018 / 12:31 am

I’ll never know if thoughts about death cause anxiety or if anxiety causes thoughts about death. It’s like the chicken and the egg!

  6. August 3, 2018 / 12:25 pm

Haha I loved your answers – you sound a lot like me! Shane Dawson is my absolute fave and I basically spend all day thinking about death too so wanna be mates?

This is a fun post. I laughed out loud at your sarcasm question sarcasm. Did you enjoy Florida when you visited? It’s one of my favorite states.

    • Kate
      August 3, 2018 / 11:00 am

I didn’t like Miami all that much, probably because it’s too hot for my European body ๐Ÿ˜€
      Orlando was more interesting, though.

I don’t think it’s a lot. My country is really small so if you walk for more than 10 minutes you’re basically abroad ๐Ÿ˜€

  14. August 2, 2018 / 4:23 am

Oh my goodness I absolutely LOVED your answers and I am not being sarcastic at all! It was so much fun getting to know you a little better! I honestly do not really like watching movies much either because they are WAY too long! I loved what you said you are like a hamster on LSD, that was a hilarious answer! Of the countries you have visited, which was your favorite? I really hope you do not say the USA because this place is NUTS!!

    • Kate
      August 2, 2018 / 10:22 am

      Thanks for your sweet comment.

I’d say England and Ireland, but it’d be unfair because I only visited London (like a million times) and Dublin.
      Irish people are fabulous.

      • August 2, 2018 / 10:39 pm

        You are welcome!!

I imagine England and Ireland are pretty beautiful! So the US isn’t on the top of your list? I do not blame you one bit!!!

          August 2, 2018 / 10:52 pm

          They are beautiful!
It’s not that I don’t like the US, it’s just that Florida is the only place I’ve actually visited and it’s definitely not my vibe. There are so many places I’d love to see in the US. NY, Oregon, N/S Carolina (in the winter), etc.

          • August 2, 2018 / 11:08 pm

I am going to be honest and I do not mean to sound Unamerican, but it isn’t the greatest country anymore. I live in North Carolina and getting ready to move to South Carolina. I am just not a fan of these places, but definitely visit if you want to! Maybe I can be your tour guide!

          • Kate
            August 2, 2018 / 11:09 pm

There’s such a different between visiting a place for a couple of weeks and actually living there! I can understand why you would think America isn’t all that awesome anymore ๐Ÿ™‚

          • August 3, 2018 / 9:49 pm

I really do not mean to sound so negative, but with all that has been going on I do feel that America has changed so much. It is really an unfortunate situation, but I do hope things will get back on the right track!

            August 3, 2018 / 9:58 pm

I think I understand what you mean ๐Ÿ™‚ 2.5 years to go?

          • August 3, 2018 / 10:32 pm

YES!! I am kind of hoping a little sooner! 2.5 years is a long time to deal with him!

          • Kate
            August 3, 2018 / 11:13 pm

            Even for us LOL

          • August 4, 2018 / 3:35 am

I think 2.5 years left is way too long for everyone!
