Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse review

Sharing is caring!

The Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse is a 2-in-1 cleanser created by skin care deity blogger Caroline Hirons and (I’m sure it’s clear now) one of my favourite skin care brands: Pixi by Petra. Those two uniting to create a cleanser is like when Michael Jackson met Quincy Jones to record Thriller or when Steve Jobs met Steve Wozniak to start Apple: a match made in heaven.

Price point, types of product and quantity

Price: £24 ($24) as I was saying in my Pixi’s Retinol review, Pixi products are easy to find (I usually shop for them on the official website or on Cult Beauty)

Types of product: the jar is filled with a solid cleansing oil on one side and a cleansing cream on the other. The jar comes with a plastic spatula to help you use just the right amount of product.

Quantity: There’s 50ml of each product.

So, what is it supposed to do?

The Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse will thoroughly cleanse your face (duh) with a bunch of skin-loving ingredients.

The solid oil will protect, condition, nourish, heal and moisturise your skin.

The cream cleanser will promote collagen production, relax fine lines, plump and protect your skin, improve cell renewal and elasticity.

What I think of the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse

Well, I think it’s the best makeup remover I have ever tried and I can’t get enough of it. The cleansing oil melts full faces of makeup, waterproof mascaras, gel liners, and Halloween makeups in no time. All it takes is a quick massage of the product onto the skin. Wipe off with a warm cloth, your makeup will be 95% gone and the cleansing cream will take care of the rest. The Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanser will leave your skin clean, feeling fresh and soft, and fully prepared for the rest of your skin care routine. Of course, you can use it as a PM cleanser even if you haven’t been wearing makeup (it’s highly recommended to double cleanse even if you’ve just worn SPF).

However, the huge drawback is that you run’ll out of it very quickly because there’s just not a whole lot of product. I know the spatula is provided so that you can use the appropriate quantities, but I’m not an appropriate kind of girl. I like to get my fingers in there. I’d love to see this come in a 2x 100ml jar. I don’t care how big or expensive it would be, I can’t picture my life without the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse.

I cannot express how much I love this cleanser, and I would love nothing more than a massive vat of each side because it is just totally gorgeous. Nothing will ever beat it, quite frankly, and I don’t know how they’ve done it.

Your poats always inspire me to take care of my skin! It sounds like suxh a great cleanser. . .and $24 really is not that expensive for a 2 in 1 cleanser. The oil is reminding me of coconut oil. . .ii’s good to know you like it as a makeup remover. Also the fact that you can use it as a pm cleanser is what totally sells me on it! Thank you for sharing, Kate!
