New makeup launches of 2019 (winter)

Sharing is caring!

The makeup releases in 2018 were insane. It was hard to keep up both on the blogging and banking fronts as they were so many things to talk about (you can catch up here: makeup releases for fall 2018, holiday eyeshadow palettes releases, and more holiday eyeshadow palettes releases). 2019 doesn’t look like it’s going to be any less intense, but it might be a bit more diverse, with more complexion products. Let’s have a look at the new makeup launches of 2019.

Morphe Brushes – Foundations, concealers, primers and setting powders

Release date: January 17th

Morphe Brushes is coming hard with a *huge* complexion range consisting of 60, yes 60, shades of foundation ($19), 2 primers ($12), 31 concealer shades ($9) and 15 setting powder shades ($12).

The brand claims the foundation will be full-coverage, 24-hour-wear, oil-free, paraben-free, fragance-free, with a soft matte finish and adapted to all skin types.

Definitely one of the biggest new makeup launches of 2019.

Urban Decay – Naked Palette Reloaded

Release date: TBA

Price: TBA

The original Naked Palette wasn’t taken off the shelves for no reason, obviously! So here’s yet another Naked eyeshadow palette. The pan sizes seem to vary, which is, in my opinion, the only interesting thing about this palette. The brand hasn’t officially announced its release yet.

Fenty Beauty – Foundations, concealers, setting powders, brushes and sponges

Release date: January 11th

Prices: foundation: $34; concealer: $26; setting powder: $32, brushes: $34 and $26; sponge duo: $18

Where: Sephora, Fenty Beauty official website, Harvey Nichols

Fenty Beauty is also joining in the new makeup launches of 2019 with a whole range of complexion products.

The brand is extending its current Pro Filt’r Foundation range with 10 new shades.

They’re also coming out with 50 shades of Pro Filt’r concealers and 8 shades of Pro Filt’r setting powders.

There’s also going to be new sponges and complexion brushes.

I broke my Low-Buy January vows and indulged in the concealer. You can see my full review here.

Physician’s Formula x Casey Holmes – The Butter Collection

Release date: out now (currently sold out at the time of writing, but restocking soon)

Price: $19.95

Where: on the Physicial’s Formula official website

The California-based brand has collaborated with beauty youtuber Casey Holmes and released a Butter Bronzer inspired collection. The collection includes: a Butter bronzer, blush and highlighter, 4 eyeshadows, a butter lip cream, and an eau de toilette.

I hate to be a bitch, but this is by far the most underwhelming makeup launch of 2019.

Colourpop – Lux Velvet Blur lipsticks

Release date: January 10th

Price: $7

Colourpop is coming out with a new formula of matte lipsticks and a range of 16 shades. The new formula is said to fill and smooth over fine lines and leave a soft focus finish that lasts all day.

I’ve only tried one liquid lipstick from the brand and I wasn’t super happy with it (admittedly, I don’t like liquid lipsticks in general, so it wasn’t a big surprise.

I want the Morphe foundation just for shits and giggles as I have not heard great things and from what I’ve seen unless you have perfect skin the formula seems to cling to texture.
I’m not too keen on the urban decay colours in the new naked palette it’s just not very ‘Wow’ for me.
I’m really interested in trying the Fenty I do feel they care a lot about their formula and they want to make products work for the everyday person. Plus the lip product I have from the brand is really good.
Can’t wait to see your up and coming 2019 posts.

You should watch Thomas Halbert’s review of the Morphe foundation. He does real life close ups, it’s very interesting (and helped removing some of my complexes about my own skin). Apparently it stains as well, which is just incomprehensible.
Urban Decay, not interested in this one.
I’ve ordered the Fenty concealer, I’m a bit excited.

I haven’t seen halbert yet but I saw the staining on Nicole concilio’s channel. Doesn’t look good does it? I can’t wait to see your review on the fenty concealer. X x

Nope it doesn’t. And I was tempted to buy it for shits and giggles as well, but it’s a waste of money :/

Not to be that bitch but NOTHING about these launches excite me. I would love to splash out on some Fenty Beauty admittedly, but Morphe’s new launch looks like four rows of the same shade, we all own those shades that UD have stuck in a palette, and there is literally nothing new or fun about the physicians formula launch. Come on brands in 2019, AMAZE ME

Fenty is the only brand I’d like to try. But god, it’s expensive.

I have a Morphe palette and a Morphe brush and I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything else.

The ‘new’ NAKED palette looks nice and maybe some of the pans are different sizes because those are shades that will be used more often 🙂 It’s good to see Fenty catering for so many skin tones!

Yes, that’s my guess about the UD palette. Looks like they’re confident people are going to hit pan on it!

Well, I’m a concealer curator, so I’d be tempted to buy the FB concealer!
