I received this 50ml Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid serum bottle via a website called Sampleo, which is a kind of Octoly for regular people, e.i. you don’t have to be a youtuber or blogger with a lot of subs to get products to test. I don’t have to write a review on my blog, but I’ve found the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid so good that I thought it would be worth sharing my experience with it here.

Price point, quantity and practical info

Price: $29.50 / £22 / around €15-16 in France/Belgium.

Quantity: 50ml

The product comes in a plastic bottle and is dispensed with a pump.

Apply two pumps of product AM and PM after toners and before heavier moisturisers.

Where can you buy it? In the US, you can find it on Amazon and on the official Vichy website. Same for the UK: Vichy and Amazon.

What I think of the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid

If you know me, you know I like to be sassy and nitpicky at times, especially with more expensive skincare products, but I’m a bit at a loss for words here.

It actually doesn’t take weeks and weeks of usage (at the time of writing this review, I’ve been using it for three weeks) to see results. The extreme hydration, plumping and healthy glow are visible upon the first application.

What I particularly enjoy about it is that it penetrates the skin really quickly thanks to its gel-like texture. The lightweight texture is very reminiscent of the Clinique Moisture Surge that I’ve already mentioned here, there and everywhere. My skincare routine is pretty long, so it helps when I don’t have to wait 4 minutes for one of the products to dry to get cracking. Much like Clinique products, it doesn’t smell of anything and I know that’s a big plus for many people.

I absolutely recommend the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid if your skin is mature, dry, sensitive or dehydrated, but it’ll work on pretty much any skin type.

Finally, a little product goes a long way. It is recommended that you use two pumps, but I find that one is more than enough. This serum might be on the pricey side (especially across the pond), but those 50ml will last you a very long time.

I’ve been curious about the vichy mineral 89 for a while now – I accidentally purchased the aqualia thermal when I meant to buy this and I really loved it, but it’s just a little pricey for me right now and I’m hooked on Hydraluron! Definitely one to look out for in the sales though, especially since you love it.

It’s much cheaper here because it’s French pharmacy. I do love it, but I’m not sure I would spend 22 quid on it. I mean, there’s a whole range of Pixi products within the same price range we need to save up for now.
